Explorer.exe not running...

[v3rtt]

Having a problem with explorer.exe not running (even if done in ctrl + alt +del), sometimes it will work if i run SpybotSD, clean the system and then run it.

As of now im running everything through the Create new task in ctrlaltdel.
IExplorer.exe keeps randomly popping up.
Seem to have a google redirect virus also.
Just need some help =\.

Thanks for replying...
I went and downloaded combofix... turned off my AVG and spybot. But when i try to run it, i get an error message and spybot pops up.

The error message is along the lines of
!! Alert !! it is not safe to continue
the contents of the combofix package
have been compromised

you may have a virus (virut)

When i turned on my computer today i got explorer running? Don't know how i didn't do anything different, but heres a new log anyway...

Oh yeah, Once explorer.exe came up, i got a message that the windows configuration settings at startup had been changed?

Yes HJT log has changed.

Now there is sign of virut and that doesn't mean good news.

Virut is a file infector which is able to infect all your exe files.

Though in theory in can be disinfected, it is not so in practice as not all cured files will work.

Solution is reformatting. You can backup all files except the ones with .exe, .scr, .htm and .html.

If you need help with that, let me know.
