Hi,
I have got this ad-w-a-r-e problem on my laptop, i know i should post here hijack this log but i have got another problem- my laptop just do not run it... and i do not hava CoolWebSearch trojan!
PLEASE HELP...what should i do?

i wish i could do it- this thing slows my internet connection to minimum- but usual avast scan showed nothing, just like spybot...it keeps poping up this annoying site ad-w-a-r-e... which is later redirected to different inactive pages like inter-netsales or supercoupon-sales and lots of others...i have just found out that not only hijack is closed sooner than it opens but also command prompt ...??? i do not understand ???

Hi
You did download Hijackthis to your desktop then extract the file inside and place it in a newly created folder such as c:\antispyware ?
If so and it will not run try renaming to (for example) HJT.exe and see if it will run.

press enter, type in

press enter, type in
sc delete "RpcSssvc"
press enter, type in

press enter, type exit and press enter to exit the command prompt
Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items If there.

Is norton/symantect programs still installed ?
Since your using avast uninstall and norton or symantect programs
Afterwards if this item still shows in your hijackthis logs
O23 - Service: ScriptBlocking Service (SBService) - Unknown owner - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\SYMANT~1\SCRIPT~1\SBServ.exe (file missing)
Go here and cleanup after symantect

Download and run the stinger tool , post ts log if anything was found.
