I just got done running through that.

I really dont know if Spybot is reporting a False Virtumonde

Hi Chillum,

Please uninstall Spybot 1.5.2 after KEN545 gives you the "all clean" and your computer is free of Malware. After that, download Spybot 1.6.2 from here (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/ownmirrors3/index.html) and install it.

Please be sure that you always have the latest version of Spybot installed on your computer. Otherwise, you will get more false positives (like in this case) and won't be protected against the newest Malware.

Scan your computer with Spybot 1.6.2. Now, your log should be clean. I have the same file on my computer and Spybot doesn't find Virtumonde here... ;)

So i went ahead and uninstalled an reinstalled the new SPYbot. i did not find Vitrumonde

IT did find alot of tracking cookies directly linked to firefox

And the thing is, ever since i switched to Firefox because IE8 is so damn slow, ive been having problems


Is mozilla really this bad, i hate the user interface of Firefox and now this, im going to try and go back to IE7.

tracking cookies are not really bad. For more information, please read here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=41830), here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=41862) and here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=37233). Read through it and follow the instructions carefully... with these information, you should fix it. ;)

You can always choose the browser you like best. :bigthumb:
