I am running the latest version of Spybot with XP. I am repeatedly getting infected with the following adware/spyware files:
ADVIVA
DOUBLECLICK
FASTCLICK
MEDIAPLEX
Sometimes I am getting all 4, other times only DOUBLECLICK.
I repeatedly search using Spybot and fix problems, but they keep coming back.
I have tried running Spybot in Windows Safemode, and have found and deleted whislt in Safemode, and have also deleted Doubleclick.com and .net from my REGEDIT directory. But they keep coming back.
When infected the laptop is VERY slow, and internet Explorer takes ages to open up and connect.
My guess is that the Cookies are still there, and keep reloading the files, but why does Spybot not stop it? I have the teatimer activated, and am also running an Anti-virus programme in addition. I have completed a Virus check and nothing was found.
Please help/advise ASAP.
