Cant delete or restore folders in recycle bin

I recently received help from team spybot in removing some mal-ware on my computer. I just noticed when I use ATF cleaner the last time to empty my temp files and recycle bin, there are 4 folders that appear to be empty that will not delete or restore in the recycle bin.
I tried to restore them to find out their original location and permanently delete them with the Shift+delete command. It says on one of the folders "Cannot Remove folder Dg207: Access is denied" and the other 3 folders have the same error but with a slightly different file name i.e. Dg205, Dg206 etc. When I try to restore them it says Cannot create or replace "Folder Name": Access is denied The names of the 4 folders are as follows, "9ff5931b9845f574aedb01443bcca479", "amd64", "i386", and "update". These folders appear to be empty by file size but if there are files inside of them I cant see that being possible.
Since the recent removal of the mal-ware and viruses, I am kinda concerned that these folders may contain mal-ware of viruses themselves. Any suggestions on how to permanently delete them?

Are these folders empty? If so, they can not harm you. Have a look here for possible solutions:

then "R" scroll down to Damaged Files in Recycled Folder and look at that information to see if any helps.

It says they are empty by file size but when I try to delete one of them it says "Cannot remove folder DG20*: Access is Denied" (the asterisk represents 4-7 depending on which folder I am trying to delete) Why does it say a totally different folder name than the folder I am trying to delete, unless there are sub-folders within them?

Chris, I really don't know but if they are in the Recycle Bin the computer does not have access to those folders or anything in them. So...if the computer does not now need those to run, I would concern myself with how to get them out of the Recycle Bin and off the computer. As I said, if the information I provided does not resolve this, please post at one of those Windows XP forums where folks who deal with the Operating System should be able to help.

I figured it out. I just downloaded a free trial of TuneUp Utilities 2009 and they have a tool to destroy the recycle bin content. It was as simple as a click of the mouse button. Thanks for your help.
