Hello. I recently was hit by the Vundo Trojan/Virus and just got done vanquishing it (atleast thats what the scans tell me). My system (WindowsXP Home Ed. SP3, 2GB Ram, 3.0Ghz AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core, running AVG Free) is running fine aside from the annoying browser issues that are still present. Some sites work and others dont. Sometimes I have to switch between IE and Firefox hoping one of them will display the website I'm trying to visit. It will even hang in yahoo/google searches, which has made it really hard for me to find relevant info pertaining to my problem. At times, sites like Myspace.com will hang and not load while other times it will load if i refresh a million times, but it's all for nothing because I won't be able to sign in. Another problem is that my automatic updates have been disabled and I cant seem to undo this, leaving me with no security update capabilities. Here is my most recent HJT scan:

Update on my problem:

After cautiously reading countless solutions for similar to exact issues that I was having, I managed to fix them myself! Although it feels great to not have to wait for an expert to give me the time of day, I wouldnt recommend others reading this to try my approach because of the high risk of it backfiring on you if you are not competent enough with not only computers, but properly digesting information and CAREFULLY implementing solutions. This is why I will not post the exact steps I took to solve the problems :lip:, aside from the fact that only qualified techs are allowed to give advice on these kinds of forums. I definately understand the logic behind that rule. All in all I'm very proud of myself as this is the second time I've dealt with a Trojan/Virus problem that required me to employ dangerous, albeit necessary, techniques :crowned:. Can't wait to finally attend school for this!! Until then, if there is a way for me to come on board as a lowly trainee so that I can wet my appetite please let me know. Other than that I've probably wasted enough space on this issue and my ego , lol, so I'll let it go there. Later All! And great site!:bigthumb:
