Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

I am not seeing evidence of Virtumonde in the HJT log, if you still want help, we will start like this.

1) Please DO NOT ENABLE Spybot S&D TeaTimer while we work together.

2) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

3) Post also an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Phil,
Thanks for your timely reply. I didn't mention the things I had tried brfore contacting you, I ran Spybot S&D and it found Virtumonde and removed it but when I rebooted, SS&D would automatically start (I have SS&D set to not autorun) and find the infection again. I then tried Microsoft's Live Safety Center, but when I rebooted my computer seemed to still have the symtoms of the infection. If I use process manager to stop a process called vsmon I seemed to be able to use my computer and thats when I contacted you.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

(Sunday)
I no longer use my wireless router, I tried to uninstall "Dell Wireless WLAN Utility" but was not able to.
Downloaded Secunia PSI, ran it, updated as instructed, ran again, same result. (Monday got 1 less result, it looks like Apple Quicktime and iTunes aren't updating)
Updated Adobe.
Removed Adobe Reader 8.1.1.
Installed Foxit.
Removed Java 6.
Downloaded new Java (saved to desktop)
Shut down.

(Monday)
Booted up.
Installed Java.
Removed SS&D 1.5.2.20.
Tried to install SS&D 1.6.?, got error message "Server name or address could not be resolved".
Uninstalled SS&D 1.5.?.
Rebooted.
Tried to install SS&D 1.6 again and got the same error message.
Removed ZoneAlarm Spy Blocker.
Downloaded ATF Cleaner.
Fixed the files per your instructions with HJT.
Ran ATF Cleaner.

So as you can see I no longer have SS&D to run as you instructed.

Now I have to go unclog the kitchen sink, my wife tried to send a lot of pasta down the disposal, that's something I know how to do.

Hi Phil,
I went back and tried to install SS&D again, and this time realized I was blocking it from reaching the web. This time it installed, I ran my scan and it came back clean. While it was scanning I saw that it was scanning Zlob.downloader.bs, is this anything to worry about?

No John, what you see on the bottom during the scan is items that Spybot S&D is looking for, the results are what is important, what it finds at shows at the end. Did you look at the tutorial I posted?

Thanks for the feedback, from my limited knowledge in the area, I would assume Dell Wireless WLAN Utility is a Wireless card which is hardware. I would discuss removing it with Dell if that is what you wish to do. I would also have to assume since if you are not using a wireless router, you should not have issues with infections as described in the link I posted. To wrap up, I suggest this:

In looking at your Running Process, I believe this information will help you. Remember, if you start programs you don't use during the session, they slow your startup, consume resources while running needlessly and slow the shutdown. I can not think of a program that can not be started via Start > All Programs if the need occurs. Please do not disable any security program.

Clean the System Restore files like this:

Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot

Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Update MBAM and scan to be sure we missed none of the junk, there is no need to post a clean scan result.
(MBAM is yours to keep if you wish, keep it updated and run it once a month or so)

Update Norton Internet Security and scan the system, to be sure it is running right and scanning clean. If you have problems with the program, contact tech support for instructions.

Hi Phil,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I updated Norton Internet Security but didn't heed the warnings about incompatibility with ZoneAlarm, boy that'll lock up a computer. Anyway, I got ZoneAlarm uninstalled and ran a Norton scan. All it found was 1 tracking cookie, so all is well. I believe you can close this thread now as all my problems seem to be fixed.
