Vista does not shut down properly and the computer is extremely slow. Please help? Here's HJT:

Assuming you are malware free. Your updated AV and anti-malware are coming up clean after a scan?

Having any signs (http://www.virusvault.us/signs1.html)of malware?

Spybot won't let me remove two bits of malware, Hotbar and Zango, saying I'm not the administrator (I am and can't figure out why it tells me this). Other than that, I appear to be malware free?

Would these prevent Vista from shutting down properly?

Is the vista help newsgroup listed in your response my only option?

these are installed as third party add ons in software. Did you look in the add/remove programs panel and uninstall them if present?

no there are plenty of other sites like general hardware sites or the MS Vista site. Up to you really.

I would get another anti-malware app as another check for malware. It has a free version. It may remove any hotbar zango leftovers. Link and directions:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) to your desktop:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

Be sure that everything is checked, and click **Remove Selected.**

**A restart of your computer most likely will be required to remove some items.**

When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
