How to stop Spybot running on startup?

This week, my husband and I both updated our Spybot on our respective computers. After the first scan, his said it needed to finish the cleanup after reboot. Since that time, it scans every time he reboots his system. We checked settings, and it is NOT set to scan on startup. My computer is not doing this.

Can someone suggest what's happening? It seems like something's stuck!
