Hello,

I am posting new topic per instructions. I have been having major problems with virus overload (starring SurfKick3) on a laptop with a new hard drive that is only a couple weeks old.
I ran BitDefender per instructions, getting the following log:

I had tried deleting SurfKick3 manually per instructions found elsewhere. It went smoothly until I tried to download the actual SurfKick folder in c:\\programfiles. That's when I started looking and found the topic here. Can you help me?

I used SystemMechanic6, which took some but not all viruses off, before running Look2Me-Destroyer. Have done nothing since these logs. SurfsideKick3 is the main culprit; it's not in the Programs menu in the control panel, and when I tried to remove it manually per instructions found elsewhere all went well until I tried to delete the actual SurfSidekick folder in C drive, which would not delete.

How To Download and Extract the HOSTS file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts2.htm
Repeat that proccess about once or twice a month

To help avoid reinfection see "So how did I get infected in the first place?"
