I have a virus that was redirecting my browser to a proxy, localhost 7171. It is also looping me back to what I assume is my computer's own address, which I will not include here. I figured out how to bypass the main internet connection problem, but when I tried to download S&D, it gives me the exe file, but when I try to run, it connects to that same proxy address. I am trying to download S&D on another person's Apple. I was going to burn it to disc and then run it on my PC, but I don't know how to proceed. I have the exe file on her desktop, but I do not know a. how to run the program (i have to select an application to use) and b. how to rip the program to disc. Am I on the right track? Will this CD idea work? I have already tried using AVG, adaware, and symmantec, none of them got rid of this virus! I hope my description made sense, please help.
