Help!
I accessed a commercial web site and my network connection went haywire, something downloaded and wouldn't stop. When I did a cntr-Alt-Del to use Task Manager, the Task Manager option was disabled. I had the spybot prevention thingy running in the background and it alerted me to a change which I denied. I rebooted to stop the download and kill the web page.
When my computer restarted another Spybot alert appeared (which is still on my screen now) Catagory: System Safeboot Change: key deleted. I don't want this change to execute because I don't know what it is, BUT the Deny option is disabled...woaaa.....I'm afraid to reboot....
Also other things on my machine are not functioning. I can't access regedit. The error is "Registry editing has been disabled by you administrator". I can't access my video card's Control Panel (NVIDIA). I've checked my group policy settings for task manager and reg edit tools and they still say "not configured". There may be an issue on this in another thread but I can't search without getting errors.
