Hi Spybot,

2 things:

=========================================================
[1.]
I am now getting the following error message:

"Immunization incomplete
630 items still unprotected
Cannot elevate system unless elevate immunizer"

So I'm not sure what quite I can do, and now I'm worried,
because I have 630 items that are still unprotected.

=========================================================
[2.]
I gather that Spybot, is worthwhile/reputable software to have installed ?
For example, would Wikipedia have info on it ?
ie how do you tell, which antivirus software would be better to have installed,
and which software, you can do/manage without ?

=========================================================

If you could help with these ?

Hi lewis90,

Which version of Spybot do you have installed on your computer?
Which other security tools do you have installed on your compuer?
Moreover, you can find more information here:
Various reasons for incomplete immunization (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=36272)

In my eyes, Spybot-Search&Destroy is one of the best AntiSpyware tools. According to Wikipedia, you can find more information here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spybot_-_Search_%26_Destroy).

Well, now to some free Antivirus programs:
Tashi has already opened a very good thread for that... please see here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=16242).
Team Spybot can't recommend Antivirus programs from Kaspersky, McAfee and TrendMicro... you can find more information here (http://forums.spybot.info/vbglossar.php?do=showcat&catid=2).

If you have any questions, please let us know. :thanks:
I hope that I could help you. ;)

Can you tell us which entries can't be immunized by Spybot... or can you upload a screenshot...? :thanks:

I'm also using Norton 360 3.0 and immunization doesn't work.

I switched back to 1.5.2, but it had a false positive on Virtumonde, so I switched back to 1.6.2 and still no improvement. 1.5.2 immunizes everything.

Here's my screenshot:

(Only Hosts are missing - they are all immunized).

I'm using Firefox 3.5.1 (it was closed while immunizing).

Hello,

There seems to be a problem with immunizing FireFox 3.5. After FireFox has been opened new, the immunization is gone.

We are aware of this issue and have it already in our bugtracker: http://forums.spybot.info/project.php?issueid=384

For now you use this workaround:

1. Open Firefox 3.5, go to Tools | Options | Privacy | Settings.
There uncheck the checkbox for "Site Preferences".

2. Open Firefox 3.5, go to Tools | Clear Recent History... OR press Ctrl+Shift+Del.
There uncheck the checkbox for "Site Preferences".

For more informations please have a look at this link in our forum: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=49881

Best regards

For me the immunisation doesn't ''disappear'' after starting FF - it just can't be done at all.

My program is still showing "Immunization incomplete".
So can't really run the program properly.

Ok, it seems now I'm not getting that "immunization incomplete"
problem -- but now instead, when I try to
get all of it immunized, it only will do some of them, ie
alot still remains unimmunized.

So not sure if those can be covered, or not ?

Yes, I recently noticed something very similar.

When I run Immunize the progress bar does not make it all the way to the end, the stats are reported like this:

Unprotected: 0
Protected: 115366
Total: 115559

So that leaves 193 items unaccounted for. I think it is something to do with Opera 10 as Spybot lists 193 cookies of which 0 are protected.

Using Spybot 1.6.2.46 on Windows XPSP3 plus Opera 10

Hi again,

Sorry, I'm still having this same problem -- my immunization
does not immunize all the "gaps", and I think as a result,
a number of cookies are getting through.

I'm using Vista Home Basic; Internet Explorer 7
and AVG Antivirus (from recently).

Please can someone tell me how I can fix this ?

I think I have discovered, why people have this problem – cos it seems to now have been solved on
my computer – instead of pushing the “Immunize” icon on the left hand side of the Spybot
screen, you should push instead, the green cross Immunize icon, further up and to the right of this
Spybot screen. When I did that, instead for the first time, it cleaned everything up.
PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!
