For the past several weeks my laptop has been coming up with all sorts of errors. The most frequent ones are:

- unknown error written in the upper left hand courner of a black screen,
-KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR on a blue screen telling me some recently installed software may be responsible, but this latter one doesn't seem to coincide with the installation of any particular software.

I thought maybe the computer was overheating, and pointed a table fan at it, but hasn't made much difference, and startup, when the computer is cool takes a really long time.

The computer has been wanting to run checkdisk at startup every time I turn it on, but it rarely gets past zero percent, no matter how long I wait. So I have been canceling the scan.

Eventually the computer simply refuses to start and I am forced to do a system restore. My last restore point has at least some malware detected by Malwarebytes, and 360.

Here's HJT log,
Thanks for your help

Hi,

By looking at the explanation behind that KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR message here (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc957628.aspx) it seems your hard drive is probably near its end. One thing that supports this is the thing you mentioned that "The computer has been wanting to run checkdisk at startup every time I turn it on, but it rarely gets past zero percent".
