Saturday I clicked on a link to download an mp3 and the site opened with a blank window. On the address tab bar, i noticed it had all these random letters. THat's when AntiVirus Pro downloaded to my computer and I figured I had a virus, trojan, malware or spyware on my computer. I would get pop ups and when I searched in google for something, the link would direct me somewhere else. Also, When i type something on mozilla or ie, I noticed on the bottom left hand corner it will appear, "client1.google.com." My internet is slower than usual if it does go through. I tried to scan disk, disk defrag and system restore through command as well as manually, but it does not work. There are no restore points prior to Saturday. When i defrag, it says that CANNOT DEFRAG drive C. When i scan, it will scan BUT won't fix. I would type chkdsk /f but it says that F parameter is not defined & cannot lock drive. Also, drive is in use by another volume. I would click Y to scan when reboot, but even then, nothing happens when i reboot. I have ran all 3 system tools through safemode as well, but same outcome. Please help! I Windows XP and I have AVG and I did download Malaware MEgabytes on my computer but deleted it because nothing changed. I also now have Hijack.
