spybot s&d was recomended to me by a friend, so later that day when i got home i went to download spybot, i typed into my web brouser, (www.spybotsearchanddestroy.com (http://www.spybotsearchanddestroy.com/)) well and it loaded but before it finished i was automaticly redirected (and a redirect screen came up briefly stating that i was being redirected to a PARENT site, which was antiSPYWARE 2009.
well like an idiot i downloaded it anyway, paid the $39.99 for the premium package and everything was fine for 1 day. however before i go into that, let me just say that this is a really fancy looking program, some of the "features" included in the "software" are BHO manager, full registry backup, startuup program manager, scan scheduler. so it has quite a few advanced sounding features. DO NOT BE FOOLED! it is an enourmous virus! it specificly targets your pc's operating system, and installs pathways through your pc's firewall for malware and spyware. also it is searches for account information and anyother personal information it can find. Im hoping the owners of spybot search and destroy read this only because antivirus has linked (www.spybotsearchanddestroy.com (http://www.spybotsearchanddestroy.com/)) to automaticly redirect you to there page on internet explorer, i am not shure if the same happens with mozzilla firefox or not but anyway, don't let you or your friends make the same mistake i did. TELL A FRIEND!! it did alot of damage to my pc and resulted in costly repairs to my pc and plus im out an additional 39.99 :(
