Can't Access Safer-Networking.org

I have access to the internet and various webpages but as of yesterday I cannot connect to the safer-networking.org website. Something got on my computer yesterday and now I get redirected to websites I don't want and get ads popping up I don't want. I tried to run my existing version of spybot search and destroy but it wouldn't work, so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled the latest version from download.com but it wouldn't completely install since it needed to be able to connect to safer-networking.org. Any ideas on how to get spybot search and destroy back on my computer and running?
