My laptop started doing this last summer. I would just be using it as normal as can be and it would all of a sudden blue screen on me. Sometimes it happens quickly, sometimes it will run fine all day and then all of a sudden crap out. Well it just happened to me again just now, and I typed word for word what the error screen says and thought I would post it here for some idea's perhaps. Any help appreciated.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer, if this
screen appears again, follow these steps.

Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utlities. Check your hard
drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive
corruption, and then restart your computer.
