I wasn't sure where to post this so I'll post it here.
Specs:
Compaq Laptop
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
AMD Sempron(tm) Processor
3000+
996 MHz, 1.25 GB of RAM
I am currently suffering a problem that I believe to be caused by Spybot S&D. The program has worked very well until yesterday when it asked me if I wanted to allow a registry change for "Kernel Fault Check". I had no clue what it was so I denied it. Now, when my laptop goes to sleep and wakes back up, I get the blue screen saying telling me something about
KERNEL_INPAGE_STACK_ERROR
My Spybot S&D log says:
7/27/2009 2:23:00 PM Denied value "KernelFaultCheck" (new data: "") deleted in System Startup global entry!
Can anyone help?
Also, I read on some other computer forums that someone recommended turning off Spybot S&D (at least Tea Timer) and using a program called Hijack This to fix this problem. Any thoughts?
