I was wondering about how effective Spybot is at detecting what I would refer to as "heavy duty" keyloggers. The type I am referring to are the ones that can be installed on a PC by another party (i.e. gf/bf, spouse, significant other, enemy, etc.) and are supposedly "undetectable". Are they truly undetectable? Can spybot or any other program find such a keylogger? I was trying to find some examples of the types I am talking about and here are a few of what I came up with:

http://www.passwordrecovery.in/password-recovery/keylogger.asp
http://www.key-spy.com/keyloggers/spytector-keylogger.html
http://www.best-keylogger.com/keyloggers/realtimespy.html

Supposedly, but not impossible. Sounds like half a response, but it's not. I can't tell you for sure what programs detect which, but I'm sure Spybot-Search&Destroy covers a portion of the keylogger detection.

Spybot-SD detects specific keyloggers, not keyloggers based on their "level" or "severeness".

If you wish to take a look at the keyloggers that Spybot-SD detects, go into Advanced Mode>Settings>Ignore Products>Keyloggers.sbi.
I'm guessing KeyloggersC.sbi are the "heavy duty" ones like Ardamax.
