Hello,

I recently had a virus or something but I'm fairly confident that my AV (Symantec Endpoint) took care of it... but I keep getting errors every time I boot up (weirdfilename.exe cannot be found), and I also get the Blue Screen of Death at least once per day. I believe that some remnants of the virus(es) may still be in my system.

Apparently, the problem got resolved in those cases and I didn't need further assistance. :red:

The first link on your list doesn't "count" because 1) it was a relative's computer that I was working on and 2) I was on vacation which lasted more than four days.

Helpers are at several forums and take only so many logs, so assisting someone who does not follow up leaves other users waiting.

I do indeed appreciate the help and certainly understand the logic.

What I don't understand is how it takes more time by not replying. If I were to continue seeking help, it would take more of the helper's time. But you are right in that I could have expressed my gratitude in those previous cases.

If I am not going to receive help, please just tell me so I can move on and find a place that I can. And out of curiosity, why have you decided to randomly sabotage my thread?

Unless the OP posts to inform that they no longer need assistance, the topic is open until -closed due to lack of a response. As the helper may not take a new topic above their own quota it affects other members waiting for assistance. Hope that explains.
