Another Virus Blocking spybot from running!

I love spybot, and today out of NOWHERE a virus starts acting up, eating up resources, accessing IE, downloading things

my system 32 folder is several gigs....that surely isn't right?

so of course i turn towards spybot as it has been my go to program..and low and behold the virus is preventing me from scanning with it!

as soon as i click on it, it says it has stopped working...

I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it under a new folder name, and still I get this result.
The culprit seemed to be "MSB.exe" and 8FM8 or something like that. But after deleting MSB.exe the trojans were still running at full force.
Firefox isn't even working right....I'm forced to use CHROME:sad:

I really want to get Spy Bot running, or get another decent spyware program (I dont think there are any as good for free though...) or else I will have to do a reinstall of Windows, which I have no clue how to do. I also backed up all my music that I have made with the samples and whatnot so feel free to tell me any risky manuevers in order to rid this threat.

I have a HP Pavillion Laptop with windows Vista, several gigs of RAM and a dual core.

keep in mind this was all taking place today and yesterday everything ran fine.

so i downloaded Malware bytes from another thread as mentioned...

and the same thing happened!

i click to open, and it closes with an error before you can even see the program...
:sad:

I saw on another page the details on MSB.exe and the google trends show it peaking this month and last!

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/dds) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.



Download GMER (http://www.gmer.net) here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
Double-click .exe that you downloaded
Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress!
When scanning is ready, click Copy.
This copies log to clipboard
Post log in your reply.
