Recently downloaded a freeware game and when running SpyBot received notification of DoubleD threat. Uninstalled game, deleted some files using Windows Explorer. Still have 6 entries that cannot be removed. I have previously downloaded Erunt and HiJackThis.

Thanks for any help here. Not sure how serious this infection is, but would like to be rid of it before doing anything with online banking.

Hello Koomba,

I have previously downloaded Erunt and HiJackThis.

The place to post that log would be in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) after reading "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

First though, what happened here: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=324510&postcount=13

Regards.

This problem seemed to vanish shortly after you were helping me in this area. I apologize for not closing this file. I will post the DoubleD problem in Malware Removal as you suggest. Thank you for your reply.

Hello,

We are sorry, but this is a false positive that will be fixed in our next detection update. :)

Thanks for the reply. Could you please clarify what is meant by a False/Positive?

thanks,

Hello,

A false positive occurs when the scanning reports a threat when in fact there is no threat present.
The chances of this occurring depend on the type of virus checking being done, and also on the general quality of the software.
So: nothing to worry about. :)

Thank you for the clarification on this. How will this thread be removed to reduce the volume?
