Spyware Problem

Hi,

I've been recently having some problems with spyware.
When I open up Internet Explorer my default homepage has been altered to "about: blank" and various pop-ups appear stating I have spyware and that i need to delete them.

I have a feeling the problem lies with the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\susp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wstart.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\a.exe

and “user32.dll” shows up my processes when I press control+alt+delete, once I try and use internet explorer.

All when I start up the PC a command prompt window appears briefly called “runsvr32” and I have a feeling the virus is running this programme.

I have used AVG and SpyAxe to remove the spyware and Trojan horses, however when ever I click to open my Internet explorer browser, user32.dll appears on my processes and all the spyware and viruses I had removed previously appear again when I scan.

Has anyone had a similar problem? If so it would be greatly appreciated if you tell me how to remove this virus.

I have used AVG and SpyAxe to remove the spyware and Trojan horses,
SpyAxe is the malware, that is the junk these frauds are trying to get you to click on, use and pay for to fill their pockets.

These instructions will help you remove the junk, post the logs in this same topic when you are done. I will be notified and check to make sure you got it all as soon as possible after you post.

1) Your Java program: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\ <<< is out of date and that will get you infected fast. Use this information to get it up to date: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=2559

2) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

It is important you close this security breach, try this:
Please update your Sun Java:
Updating Java:
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
It should have next icon next to it: coffee cup
Select it and click Remove.
Then Download and install the newest version from here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Test the installation: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
