The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Fraud.Unvirex" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Fraud.Unvirex claims to be an antispyware tool. When it is installed to the computer it finds a lot of harmless entries in order to frighten the user and makes him buy a license to get the issue fixed.
Removal Instructions:

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Quicklaunch symbols named "UnVirex.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\*.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "UnVirex" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\UnVirex.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "UnVirex".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$COMMONDESKTOP>\UnVirex.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\UnVirex.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\UnVirex\How to Register UnVirex.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\UnVirex\Register UnVirex.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\UnVirex\UnVirex.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\daily.cvd".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\Drvfltip.sys".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\hjengine.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\IEAddon.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\main.cvd".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\pthreadVC2.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\shellext.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex\siglsp.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.Unvirex uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\UnVirex".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\UnVirex".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.Unvirex uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "IEAddon.StatusBarPane.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "IEAddon.StatusBarPane", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{08EEC6AD-7486-487F-89B7-5A3716DDAE14}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{3ED0E410-5C8E-47B6-A75D-D10B886E903C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{C0E56AC2-9F72-436E-B6E7-AEC28AF9E4EB}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{CCB5551D-8594-4999-85F9-1E3EABCB95AC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{CCB5551D-8594-4999-85F9-1E3EABCB95AC}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "IEAddon.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "unvirex_contextscan" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
Delete the registry key "unvirex_contextscan" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
Delete the registry key "unvirex_contextscan" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drives\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
Delete the registry key "unvirex_contextscan" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
Delete the registry key "UnVirex" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
If Fraud.Unvirex uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
