Hello and Welcome to forums!

My name is Bio-Hazard and I will be helping you to remove any infection(s) that you may have.

Please observe these rules while we work:

I will be working on your Malware issues this may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
I f you don't know or understand something please don't hesitate to ask.
Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans whilst I am helping you.
It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

Please be aware that removing Malware is a potentially hazardous undertaking. I will take care not to knowingly suggest courses of action that might damage your computer. However it is impossible for me to foresee all interactions that may happen between the software on your computer and those we'll use to clear you of infection, and I cannot guarantee the safety of your system. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system, or to necessitate you taking your computer to a repair shop.

Because of this, I advise you to backup any personal files and folders before you start.

No Reply Within 4 Days Will Result In Your Topic Being Closed!!

Please follow these instructions to get rid of Windows Antivirus Pro:

Remove Windows Antivirus Pro (Uninstall Guide) (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-windows-antivirus-pro)

After that post the Malwarebytes Antimalware log for me to see.

I am intereseted in copying my photos and some documents onto a new external hard drive that I plan to purchase today. Is that safe to do that now?

GOTGFan
2009-08-23, 18:00
...before I do the above items....

Bio-Hazard
2009-08-23, 18:06
Yes you can do that now, but when we are cleaning the infected computer it is good to have the external harddrive on and connected that it will be scanned aswell.

Once you have transferred all the documents and pictures then disconnect it and unplug it form the infected computer.

Hello!

Can you now use the infected computer?

STEP 1

Download DDS

Please download DDS by sUBs from one of the links below and save it to your desktop:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/dds_scr.gif
Download DDS and save it to your desktop from:

Link 1 (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr)
Link 2 (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds)

Please disable any anti-malware program that will block scripts from running before running DDS.

Double-Click on dds.scr and a command window will appear. This is normal.
Shortly after two logs will appear:

DDS.txt
Attach.txt

A window will open instructing you save & post the logs
Save the logs to a convenient place such as your desktop
Copy the contents of both logs & post in your next reply

STEP 2

Gmer

Please download Gmer (http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip) by Gmer and save it to your desktop.

Right click on gmer.zip and select Extract All....
Click Next on seeing the Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard.
Click on the Browse button. Click on Desktop. Then click OK.
Click Next. It will start extracting.
Once done, check (tick) the Show extracted files box and click Finish.
Double click on gmer.exe to run it.
Select the Rootkit tab.
On the right hand side, check all the items to be scanned, but leave Show All box unchecked.
Select all drives that are connected to your system to be scanned.
Click on the Scan button.
When the scan is finished, click Copy to save the scan log to the Windows clipboard.
Open Notepad or a similar text editor.
Paste the clipboard contents into the text editor.
Save the Gmer scan log and post it in your next reply.
Close Gmer.

Note: Do not run any programs while Gmer is running.
