Hello.

Sometimes, when I browse the Internet, it's occured the message "Internet Explorer has occured an error....". Strange, but until now, only when I want to open some news who are in my E-Mail (from Wall-Street News), this problem is occurred. The details of this error are:
Error signature
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16876 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 7.0.6000.16890 Offset: 000965de
My operating system is Windows XP Professional (5.1.2600) Service Pack 3 and the application for browsing the Internet is Windows Internet Explorer 7.
I have tryed to run regsvr32..., but it doesn't work. I receive the message "mshtml.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered".
I can not also rewrite a new downloaded mshtml.dll file instead the old file in WINDOWS/System32.
Perhaps this problem is happened because in the past I have used CCleaner and this is not appropriate?
I don't know.
Please help me.

Thank you in advance,
Spandau

Hello spandau,

Not an easy one, you have not received an answer here (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic253226.html) either.

CCleaner is fine for cleaning out temp files but did you use it to clean the registry?

Best regards.

Hello Tashi.

Thank you very,very much.
Greetings to Shaba,he saved me few month ago from a big trouble.
Unfortunately, I have used CCleaner to clean the registry. I am a classic example of someone who do things without understanding. Now I'm sorry, but is too late.
Half an hour ago, I have repaired the registry with TuneUp Utilities and no more crash since than, but this is not relevant, because sometimes it worked fine few days and than crashes, sometimes crashes every day.
For those two links you gave it to me, I need more time to understand, in order to give you correct informations, or to do right what you tell me to do. I hope you to fix easyer the problem, because I'm afraid of the issues that are in those two links.
Please tell me if it's allright to reply with Quote.

Thank you for understanding,
Spandau

That is unfortunate  but it does serve as a reminder to all members why we have this sticky: Registry Cleaners, not recommended (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=30113) :)

Let us know how it goes, I may need to link you to another site with tech guys who can help you further.

Best regards.

Hello Tashi.

Oups, it did it again...sooner than I expected.
Strange, though,as I said, it crashes only when I browse my E-Mails on Yahoo.
It becames already jarring.
Please tell me what to do, I will try to do my best, allthough I am "greenhorn" in IT.

Thank you,
Spandau

Hi spandau,

Please start a topic in one of WTT's tech forums Microsoft Windows™ (http://forums.whatthetech.com/Microsoft_Windows_f119.html) or Browsers, Internet and email (http://forums.whatthetech.com/Browsers_Internet_email_f123.html) and provide a link back to this one.

They do their best to guide you into resolving the issue. :)

Cheers.
