system not responding after threats found

Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a problem. My system is acting goofy like it has before when infected with spyware. When i run a scan it finds fifty threats but when i go to delete them it won't respond. When I hold the pointer over the fix problem button or any other button in the spybot window nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling spybot but the same thing happens. Any suggestions?

Have you tried running a scan in safe mode?

Please open Spybot Search & Destroy > Help > About and let us know the version and date of last definitions.
Also, what is the operating system and do you have an up to date anti-virus program installed?
