My girlfriends friend asked me for help to fix a hardware issue, that was 5 minutes work. Then what I found was a seething nest of malware.
(768 infections).

I ended up formatting and reinstalling XP. It didn't end there....

Avira free alerts are constant with 158 infections quarantined since reinstalling Windows.

spybot showed 29 more infections.
