Malware killing Spybot process

I've run into a piece of malware on a PC where I try to start up Spybot to remove but the process is terminated before I even see the splash screen. I verified this with Process Explorer. Renaming the Spybot exe was a workaround but was curious to see if anyone knew if there was a reg entry that needs to be removed. I checked the images hijacks but all was clean so it has to be something else.

Any suggestions would be appreciated
