View Full Version : Spybot Scheduling Problem with Vista Password
I am the sole user on my Vista SP1 computer. I have no password (on purpose). When I attempt to set up a scan and/or update schedule, Spybot asks me for my password and rejects my attempt because Spybot will not accept a blank password.
How do I work around this?
PS: It seems if I wait long enough, the Scheduler accepts my schedule without my entering a password. Strange.

Hello,
When you get this error message:
“0x80070005: Access is denied" error message when you create a scheduled task in Windows XP Service Pack 2:

Scheduled Tasks cannot run with a blank password

There is workaround for the password requirement in Windows XP.
