The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Fraud.Win-Antivirus" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Fraud.Win-Antivirus claims to be an antispyware tool. When it is installed to the computer it finds a lot of harmless entries in order to frighten the user to make him buy a license to get the issue fixed.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "ASC-AntiSpyware.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\WinAntivirus.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Win Antivirus.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\AntiSpyware_Uninstall.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\conf\clamd.conf".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\conf\freshclam.conf".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\data\block.reg".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\data\block_un.reg".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\data\daily.cvd".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\data\database.dat".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\default.xml".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\fastcam.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\ignore.xml".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\quarantine.xml".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\settings.xml".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\WinAntivirus.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Startup\ASC-AntiSpyware.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Win Antivirus\Win Antivirus.lnk".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.Win-Antivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\conf".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\data".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\modules".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus\quarantine".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Win-Antivirus".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\Win Antivirus".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.Win-Antivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{8BAB8541-6E7B-F904-EEBD-D2A51C6CD329}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F54AF7DE-6038-4026-8433-CC30E3F17212}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F54AF7DE-6038-4026-8433-CC30E3F17212}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "AntipWinsx32_" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "AntipWinsx32_" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "AntipWinsx32_" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
Delete the registry key "Softimer" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "WinAntivirus" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinAntivirusVista-XP\".
Delete the registry key "WinAntivirus" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\".
Delete the registry key "WinAntivirusVista-XP" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
If Fraud.Win-Antivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Browser:

There are more browser plugins or items that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.
