Hello Alex and welcome to the forum. This looks like the Smitfraud trojan and I see other junk also.

We should get the rest of the junk during our cleaning, but I suggest you navigate to:
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\YPSR\Quarantine\ <<< and delete the contents of that folder.

Please download SmitfraudFix (http://www.geekstogo.com/modules.php?modid=5&action=download&id=80) (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other option until you are directed to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Thank you so much for all your help. I realize this is more than you asked, but I was following directions from that other post, I hope I didn't screw anything up. I deleted all the files from the Quarantine folder however. Thank you so much once again.

Hello and thanks for returning your information. No problem that you ran the second part of the fix. There can be issues if it is run and there is no Smitfraud, that's why I look first, but you had the infection. You have a little more junk that needs to go, let's proceed like this:

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(there is a problem with Spybot, I suggest as soon as possible you uninstall it and download it again, with the file missing it may not be working right)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDHelper.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msnsyslog] C:\WINDOWS\msnappm.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SNM] C:\Program Files\SpyNoMore\SNM.exe /startup
O16 - DPF: {4EC8E993-32C1-47F5-A07A-5B0574655AD4} (WXcom Class) - http://us.dl1.yimg.com/download.yaho...tr_current.cab

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\msnappm.exe <<< file

C:\Program Files\SpyNoMore\ <<< folder

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this free one with these instructions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Post a last HJT log for a final check and let me know how the computer is running now.

Thanks...Phil

Thank you so much once again for all your help! I fixed those problems in HijackThis and attempted to delete the files you told me to... However, I couldn't find C:\WINDOWS\msnappm.exe and C:\Program Files\SpyNoMore\.

The computer seems to be working much better, and my homepage and everything is back to normal. I ran that cleaner as well. Thank you so much once again for all your help. Here is the updated HJT log:

Sounds good and good job:bigthumb: those items must have been removed by the tools and just need to be taken out of the HJT log which looks to be clean so here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

tashi will be along to close you in a few days, safe surfing:)
