First off I want to thank you for all the help you so graciously give to folks who couldn't fix on their own. I have supported you in the past and will continue to do so whether you can help me or not.
I have done everything possible that I thought might work. I have had to reinstall Vista twice now and I think my old useername is still in here somewhere. i really don't know know what to say except PLEASE HELP ME!! I had a Laptop in my network up until a day or so ago and I shut down the router thinking it might be the culprit. My sister had it for a trip she went on and when she brought it back I tried connecting to my already established network and I noticed a "new" available wireless connection named "VooDoo" and of course I assumed the worse and I was probably right. I want to start trying to fix my PC first as it is the Access piont in my home network. I have an Xbox attached (or I used too) I am connected now only to my DSL modem and not thru the Linksys router. I thought It best to do so until I figure out what is up here. I hope to get help and thank you in advance.
Had Norton 360 Installed and it all the sudden disappeared. I contacted support and with their help it reinstalled. I then uninstalled 360 and installed it again with no luck finding the virus or what ever it is. I have done numerous online virus scanners and sometimes they work and sometimes not. I recently gave up on 360 and installed ATT Anti Virus (Istill Have) I alwats keep all software updated. All I can think of is my roomate went to some Poro website and accidently installed an active X. I really don't have a clue. I can't afford to buy a new hard drive. This Dell I am using was a Christmas present from my step-brother. Thanks again and the HiJack this Post follows the PO System info Good luck if you help me and thanks again...J
