Windows cannot opened the specified path, device, or file.

I recently removed a case of xp antivirus pro from my parents computer. Now that all the active malware and virus seem to be gone, i can no longer open spybot and a few other programs. when i try i get the dialogue box that says windows cannot open the specified path file or device. you may not have permission to acces.

not sure what to do from here, any help would be great!

Please save this (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/rootrepeal/Win32kDiag.exe) file to your desktop. Double-click on it to run a scan. When it's finished, there will be a log called Win32kDiag.txt on your desktop. Please open it with notepad and post the contents here.
