I had a virus that you helped me remove exactly 2 weeks ago (THANK YOU!) and now my system is dead. When I power off and on the surge protector then the system will turn on, but won't cycle any farther than the Windows XP screen - just stays black.
I can get to RAID utility screen, and I have tried starting in safe mode, safe mode with networking, last known configuration without success.
I might think this was unrelated to the virus removal except that I had another "old" computer on my network that wouldn't power on after the virus removal and instead of trying to fix it, I unplugged it from the network as it wasn't worth saving.

I was able to boot up with directory restore mode...and it seemed to work. I don't know enough about this to know whether I have a problem, but for now, the system is operating. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks again!
