Slow to no internet speed.

Hello. I downloaded spybot and adaware and did a complete scan of someones wireless laptop. I did find a few viri(?) mostly tool bars for IE. But now the internet has crawled to a complete stop. I have another wireless laptop right next to me so I think we can rule out the hardware. The errors Im getting with IE are DNS errors. Say Ill go to google and search "avg", nothing will happen and eventually Ill get a server not found notice or sometimes Ill be able to get a list of searches but If I click one of the pages it will time out. I tryed using winsocket but that didn't work. I tryed changing the host file to a different name but that didn't work. I also tryed to disable spybot's immune thing and also spyware blaster's immunity but that didn't work. Am I missing something? Please post if you have a fix. I will keep you updated.

Yes, this seems really weird. My best guess would be that the virus/malware is still on there and doing something to the computer. Here is something you can try:

--- Plug your laptop into the router/bridge that you use.

--- Restart your computer.

--- Now try and go on the internet.

If you are able to access the interent through a wire, your wireless card is probably dead. If you still cannot get online, its definetly something to do with malware.
