all steps followed now how do i remove this pop.elitemedia software

i was having norton and den it expired and den after gap i got mcafee
so between gap i got this virus.. or dont know what..... this pop.elitemedia.net thing opens everytime heavy.com or some other website in IE
tried spybot tried adaware something.... but no help...
so i stopped using IE....
blocked IE using keiro firewall
and started using mozilla
but again that was temporary solution.
was thinking of formatting system...

we will do everything in safe mode, first do this to show all files:

xp:
Set Windows to show Hidden files and folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

next we will run hjt, then look for some files to delete, in safe mode.
you might want to copy/paste the rest of this to notepad, then save it somewhere so you can read it in safe mode, or print it out.

ok to reach safe mode you tap the f8 key during a computer restart, chse the first option from the list safe mode, once in safe mode:

scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

next look and see if you can find these files, if so delete them in safe mode;

thiselt.exe---- located in the c:\windows dir
adrotate.dll---- in the c:\windows\system32 dir

while in safe mode do this:
Empty your Temp folders. Go to Start > Run and type:cleanmgr. Windows will scan. When done check these 3 and press *ok* to remove:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

start>settings>Control Panel> click the Internet options icon

Next:

Click on Delete Cookies.

Click on Delete Files, Make sure Delete all offline content is checked and then click on OK

also run spybot search and destroy once in safe mode.
reboot computer normally, rescan and post a new hjt log
