Fire Fox 3.5 Immunization does not stick! Is there a work around?

1. Tools | Options... | Privacy | Settings... | uncheck "Site Preferences"
This path is not in Fire Fox 3.5!
2. Tools | Clear Recent History... | uncheck "Site Preferences"
I've unchecked this.

In Firefox 3.5.x, when on the Privacy tab, use the pulldown to select "Use custom settings for history". Then you will see the Setting button.;)
