Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix, link (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html)
Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.


When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:

Thanks for helping me peku006.
However we have encountered some problems....

I downloaded and ran combofix but now the PC won't even boot up. I am now on a laptop!

After combofix ran, it then rebooted the PC. At this point mcafee (which had been disabled and allowed the install and run), then seemed to come to life again and said 'the trojan combofix' had been removed.
Combofix still seemed to run and I did get to the end and the log report displayed.
However when I then tried to open IE or any program there was no response. The combofix icon had dissappeared (replaced by IE actually!), McAfee icon dissappeared. Couldn't shut down or reboot - even using Ctrl, Alt, Del.
Had to turn machine off at the boot switch.

On rebooting it just hangs on the windows XP logo screen - even if I hit F8 and try booting in safe mode.

Very worried. Please tell me we can fix this.....

"Last Known Good Configuration" bootup option?

To load the last known good configuration:

If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
(If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.)
Use your arrow keys to move to "Last Known Good Configuration" and press your Enter key.

last known config for windows XP also freezes on same xp logo page.
just tried again using last known configuartion and then selecting recovery console.

I am now in a prompt screen. next step from here? or shoul I exit and try something else?
