Okay so heres the deal. I have installed Windows 7 RC, legitimate beta key included. i keep getting this 1500 error Another installation is in progress, whenever i try to install or uninstall using Windows Installer based programs. I have been all over the internet trying to find a fix for this. I have tried restarting the service manually. Now this is where it gets wierd, In a post I read, it told me that i could go to the registry and delete the InProgress regkey under Windows installer, the first time i looked at it, it had a series of letters and numbers as the inprogress install, but I didn't pay any attention to it. So after the regkey delete, I rebooted and sure enough the Windows Installer had a new InProgress key this time i wrote down the key. The key is located here,
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress ". The in progress key referred to a file called "b19e.ini". Since I've never heard of this file and can't find it on the hard drive, im turning to you. Posted below is my HJT log. Please let me know what other info i can supply you with.
