Poking around these forums helped me resolve a lot. But I'm still stuck with the CasaleMedia thing, and am concerned that other problems I can't see may remain. My eTust Antivirus scan came up negative. Below is my HiJack This log. Any help to close this out would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time.

Brian

P.S. Fujitus recommends against Service Pack 2 for their tablets. I tried it and saw why. Hence, I'm committed to Service Pack 1.

Hi Lonny,

Thanks for taking a look. Spybot Search and Destroy finds the CasaleMedia Tracking cookie.

Tracking Cookie (Firefox: default) Casalemedia.com (CMID)
" " " (CMX1)
" " " (CMS)

If there's more info I can provide, I don't know how to find it. Please enlighten me.

Thanks,

Brian

Cookies are nothing to get worried over, just fix when SSD find's them.

Think Prevention: Put in place a good hosts file
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
How To Download and Extract the HOSTS file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts2.htm
Repeat that proccess about once or twice a month

To help avoid reinfection see

Hey, Lonny:

Thanks. That's good news. I tried the hosts file, and it blocked my Statscounter account. I don't think Statcounter itself was listed, and I didn't know how to make an exception. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Well you could temporaraly rename the file to for instance hostsback
and easy way to get there is to create a shortcut to the etc folder

Im Glad we could help
Since the problems are solved Im going to close the topic now, this keeps others with similar problems from posting there logs/question here, they should start a new topic.
If you should need to post another log for the same PC let Me or Tashi know.
