And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

    We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

Setup files created by Setup Factory wont exectute after installing Spybot

After installing Spybot on my Win7 Machine, setup files created by popular Setup Factory software will not execute. According to google search, it appears that Spybot is blocking execution of some "IRSetup", but I can't find much more information on that.

Spybot should not block this.
Do you have the resident TeaTimer of Spybot activated?
Did you deny a registry change with it?

Please right-click the Resident icon in the system tray "Spybot S&D resident" and select "Settings". There you will find 4 lists for remembered decisions (allowed/denied processes and registry changes). In order to remove an entry just click on the cross next to it. TeaTimer will then "forget" this decision and you will be asked again the next time.

You should now allow the registry change for Setup Factory.

If this does not help you can disable TeaTimer as follows:
- Go into Spybot - Mode - Advanced Mode - Tools - Resident.
- Uncheck the following: Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
