Being fished at Yahoo

Hello, I am having a problem with accessing Yahoo. When I try to get to the home page I get redirected to m.yahoo instead of the real page. I failed to notice this once before logging in to my account and upon doing so my password was changed and Yahoo help said they could not do anything. Before now (the last several days), deleting my "private data" allowed me to successfully access Yahoo and use their services, but now even that does not work. I get redirected to m.yahoo consistently on every try. I cannot take this problem to Yahoo help because everything I try prompts me to log in, which would result in losing my account again. The forum admin was kind enough to manually activate my account here since I cannot use my email. I have run anti virus and spybot scans that both had no result. How can I prevent this fishing form taking place so I can use my Yahoo services again?

Down at the bottom of the page in the tiny print you might find:
return to the classic yahoo or something, but not for long anyway. See link:

Hey thanks shelf life! So the m. is going to be part of the new Yahoo homepage... well that doesn't explain how my account I got fished before but I guess at this point that may not matter anymore. The help topic you posted a link to says sept. 11th is the last day the normal page will be useable so I am just hoping all will work out well at that time. Thank you again!

Its Nov 11 when the 'classic' page will no longer be available. Are your antivirus and Spybot up to date and coning up clean after a scan? You can download and use malwarebytes also as a anti-malware solution:


Please download Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

Be sure that everything is checked, and click *Remove Selected.*

*A restart of your computer may be required to remove some items. If prompted please restart your computer to complete the fix.*
