spybot starts after xp repair

Help.

I am in an endless loop. Spybot is set to check after reboot, and safe mode didn't work so I repaired my xp pro with the cd.

Now, everytime it attempts to finish installation, spybot runs when the xp installation starts installing devices.

Since spybot does not complete successfully, (either by "stop check" or when it hits the offending dll) xp installation sits and waits forever.

Any ideas folks?

Well, after the 2 hour trip to get a flash drive, (some of us still live in rural settings) I came home to find XP installer asking about time zones! The dead spybot window remained on the screen throughout the rest of the installation and after rebooting in safe mode, was able to deal with my little problem, (virtumando.dll by the way)

Spybot saves the day again.
