Everything has been running fine with my computer. I run Malwarebites and Spybot on a weekly basis. I bought an external hardrive to backup pictures and music for my laptop, the same computer that I am getting the BSOD on now. I backed up the data last night and removed the external hardrive. It is USB connected. Anyway, now I am getting BSOD and will not boot into safe mode and it will not boot into last configuration. Here is what the BSOD states.....
Stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x84F0CE7A, 0xF79C97B0, 0xF79C94AC)
No other information is listed after that. I don't know if this is malware or a virus, or it may have to do with the fact that I just unplugged the external HD without uninstalling it (didn't think I had to do that since it automatically detected the device). Just seems odd that this happened the day after I use this device. I have a Gateway laptop running Windows XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
