Download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
* You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Turn your computer back on.

Then post a new hijackthis log.

For now remove a-squared in add and remove programs.

Run SpySweeper
# Click on Options > Sweep Options and check Sweep all Folders on Selected drives. Check Local Disc C. Under What to Sweep, check every box.
# Click on Sweep and allow it to fully scan your system.If you are prompted to restart the computer, do so immediately. This is a necessary step to kill the infection!
# When the sweep has finished, click Remove. Click Select All and then Next
# From 'Results', select the Session Log tab. Click Save to File and save the log somewhere convenient.
# Exit Spy Sweeper.

Now run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

You will need to disable SpySweeper until we are done.
To do this open SpySweeper click >Options over to the left then >program options >Uncheck "load at windows startup".
Over to the left click "shields" and uncheck all there.
Uncheck "home page shield".
Uncheck 'automaticly restore default without notifiction".

Then run ewido and post the log from it.

Follow the recommendations in Tony Klein's article
So how did I get infected in the first place? (http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=321)

And install google toolbar (http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/index.html).

And use firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/) :crowned:

Where did that come from.

Look in your control panels add/remove programs for PuritySCAN By OIN, OuterInfo, OIN or similar , click on it and click remove.
Reboot and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan

There's also an uninstaller available (try the add/remove programs first):

Here's Uninstall Instructions listing the uninstaller. (http://www.purityscan.com/uninstall.html)

If that doesn't work
Download and run this uninstaller:
http://www.outerinfo.com/OiUninstaller.exe

Reboot and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan

Tutorial for the uninstaller if needed (http://www.outerinfo.com/howto.html)

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as FindFile.bat and save it on your Desktop.

dir C:\WINDOWS\system32\?ti2evxx.exe /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Locate FindFile.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it.
It will open Notepad with some text in it.
Please post the text here.
