Hello. I'll start off by cluing you guys in: my computer's a heaping pile of junk. Its a mess. I've tried a number of sites and paid good money, but its still a bucket with a fan and a CPU. Okay, here's the deal. I've got many problems, like the one about Spybot crashing the computer? Well, not Spybot, but Registry Mechanic, Registry first aid, Registry fix, Adaware, and a whole mess of other programs do, but not Spybot, Windows defender, anything from the CA security suit or anything. Also happens when I right click on my desktop or hit "file" anywhere in "my computer". And it blames it on an "Unknown device driver", when the error report is not corrupted, which isn't often. It also tends to freeze when it boots into my account- Win XP service pack 2 home edition by the way- and requires manual shutdowns, which makes it WORSE since it fragments files that way and stuff. And my firewall is at 987 hits or something. ANYWAYS, to get to the POINT, of course I'd love help with that, I've got two VERY annoying spywares that keep comming BACK! No matter what I do! One is called Windows Security Center.TaskManager that pops up every time, blocking my taskmanager under the guise of the 'administartor'. Spybot catches it, fixes it, TM works, and then I'll turn it off for the day, or it will crash or something, I'll come back and its there AGAIN. The other one is NetSpy Keylogger, that SB doesn't catch, and the only thing in my arsenal of Anti Spywares- Spywaredoctor trial, Ewidio, SB, Etrust Pestpatroll, Windows Defender, and a few online ones- is the little scanner on the Yahoo Toolbar. Its very frustrating since I bet whoevers on the other end of that spy has cought all my passwords- changed them- but it is the same deal as with the Taskmanager thing! Anyways, I hope I gave you guys enough information- the whole beginning was setting a background- and I hope to get this fixed! [Other sources consulted: Paid money to Comp USA for a cleaning. Nothing, Annoyances.org- said I had a trojan in my registry, but I cant figure anything out, and some other place like Annoyances.org, but smaller. Nothing from there, good luck!] [and, by the way, I've dustedd the inside of my computer and all that]

Hello and welcome to the forum. I got lost in the randomness of the information you provided. I have no idea what your problem is or if I can help you or not. If you are willing to follow the directions, I am willing to give it a try. If you still need help and are not receving it elsewhere, follow these directions.

Please be advised that most forums Pin the information you need at the top of the page. These two links are a must before you can proceed, but I suggest you review all Pinned (Sticky) information.

OK, in looking over what you said, I am not sure this is even a malware issue, which is what I am here to do. Once I look at the HJT log I will know more.

Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

Please tell me what this is, link me to the web page if you have one.
C:\Program Files\DogProxy2\DogProxy2.exe

This program: C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\ read a little about it:
http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
http://www.greatis.com/appdata/u/v/viewmgr.exe.htm
http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/archives/2005/nov4.php#viewpoint
While I doubt it is causing your issues, it is junk and I would uninstall it.

Windows Security Center: http://www.theeldergeek.com/security_center.htm
is of couse a valid, very important part of SP2. Perhaps this information will help:

This is something the computer owner would install to watch over where folks are going on the computer. I do not see it in the log and if Yahoo (which I would not have on a computer I own) is the only program reporting it, it may well be a false positive.

You say you cleaned the computer and if your maintenance is up to date, scan disk, defrag, etc. and you can't run any programs, it may be time to think about reinstalling your Operating System and that is not in my area.
Here are some ideas:

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-16,GGLG:en&q=reinstalling+windows+xp

I will suggest you try another scan to see if it will run just to see what happens:

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here.

Thanks
