Hello and Happy New Year :)

This is my first time posting on this thread so IF I do something wrong please tell me. I have recently downloaded Spybot and I followed the instructions on how to Search & Destroy and when I check for Problems I got two. One of them I fixed and the second one is named Xupiter.Sqwire. When I expand it, the file under it is named (SBI $A74A3B22) Share DLL HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Micro... and I can't see the rest. I have been getting SO many popups and the annoying thing about it is that the song (advertisement song or tune) plays but browser NEVER pops up; I want to get rid of them ALL.
When I try fixing Xupiter.Sqwire a confirmation appears " You are about to remove these entries. Do you want to continue?" so I click on Yes. Then a warning appears saying " This action may not be performed completely since you are not an administrator. If you want this performed fo all users please run this application elevated as an adminstrator" so I click OK and then another warning appears saying " Some problems couldn't e fixedd; the reason could be that the associated files are still in use (in memory). This could be fixed after a restart. May Spybot-S&&D run on your next system startup?" and I click yes.
First of all, I am the only user of this laptop as its my own personal laptop and secondly I have restarted the computer and nothing has happened.
I am thinking that I should just format my laptop if this problem continues or if the solution is too hi-tech and confusing for me :confused:.

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/dds) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.



Download GMER (http://www.gmer.net) here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
Double-click .exe that you downloaded
Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress!
When scanning is ready, click Copy.
This copies log to clipboard
Post log (if the log is long, archive it into a zip file and attach instead of posting) in your reply.
