internet search issues

not sure if this is in the right place but here goes....

every time i open internet explorer and do a search it gives search results but when i click on them it trips to other sites i dont want such as www.alphahit.com. i have tried all upto date virus programs, ad-awares, spybots etc but none can find the problem ... ideas / solutions please PLEASE!!!!!!!

Please see this forum's FAQ which details how to produce a HJT log and copy paste it into a new topic.

If HJT won't run please start a new topic anyway, make note of the situation and and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.
